Bowls has still be been busy over the last month. Club Championships are finishing up for the year as well as Summer 9s.

The club held its Men’s & Woman’s club triples. It was an amazing day on and off the green. The drawn teams concept was a hit once again with members being able to play with different people. Well done to the winners Terry Griffith, Noel Hodges and Sean Ingham for the men and Oliva Bnuchin, Gene Nagy and Gail Waitai for the ladies. The Mixed Pairs as well as the B Grade Singles and Pairs are in the final stages of the competition and will be competed before presentation night. It has also been a hit with games being played in the afternoon for spectators to watch.

Social Bowls is still going strong. Sadly rain has be a hinderance with a few social games being called off. The numbers are the highest for this time of year in recent memory.

Premier League, Premier 7s & Max Morris 7s planning has begun. The selectors had their first meeting. Close to 100 names are down which is great for the club. We had an amazing 2021 season and hopefully the momentum can carry into the start of 2022.

The club has recruited quite well with a lot of players wanting to join Broadbeach. Aron Sherriff who is one of the Worlds best players have accepted a position to play for the Bulls. It is a great pickup not just on the green but off the green with Aron’s knowledge of the game and his great personality.

Green 3 has come back and is playing well. Green 2 is looking great and is due to come out of renovation soon when Green 1 will subsequently come out.
